Fall 2013 Alumni/Family BBQ Recap

Thank you to all of the brothers who attended the BBQ today! It was a big success with probably 50+ brothers in attendance. We're making notes to make sure we improve next year's BBQ, so if you have any comments about today, please let us know! (We will get better quality burgers next year...we heard a decent amount of complaints about the taste of the burgers).

Brother Interview: Rich Rozycki '00

This post kicks off the first in a new series of weekly posts which are designed to reconnect us to our alumni brethren who we may not have heard from or spoken to in some time. Since this is the inaugural post, we decided it would be fitting to highlight chapter founder and badge number 1, Rich Rozycki! Come back every week for a new post on another brother! If there are questions you would like to see asked in addition to or instead of the questions posted here, please email NJECorp@gmail.com with the subject line "Brother Interviews" and post your question in the description.

Annual General House Corporation Meeting

April 28th the NJ Epsilon Corporation will be holding it's annual meeting of the general membership.  Unlike previous annual meetings, the by-laws have been amended to state that the meeting will be held on the last Saturday of the month of April each year. We're hoping that this encourages more of you to attend since it does not occur during the summer time or after the school year.

The meeting will be held in room 126 of the Science building.

This year's meeting is very important for 2 reasons:
1. We are electing a new President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Secretary. These are all 2 year board positions. A file describing the duties of each position is included in this event. If you are interested in running for a position, please let one of the current board members know and/or show to the meeting. The current board is looking for fresh, new faces to get involved and highly encourages new volunteers to run for a board position.  Depending on if an at large board member moves up, that position may open up as well.
2. We will be presenting our housing assessment and plan for acquiring a house in the years to come. This assessment presentation will show you what options are currently available for housing for our chapter, key factors we need to consider when purchasing a house, and our plan for handling the house after acquisition. A big thank you to Steve McDermott for all of his efforts in developing this assessment and plan!

The tentative agenda for this year's meeting is as follows -

Roll Call
Review Minutes
Officer Reports
- President – Rick Pelletier
- Vice-President – Ken Whelan
- Treasurer – Robert Martin
- Secretary – Russ Pocaro
- Housing - Steve McDermott
Old Business
New Business
Elections
Announcements
Close Meeting

Food and beverages will be provided for all in attendance.

We invite all alumni who are looking to get involved with the Chapter again or who are continuing to support the Chapter to please attend the meeting.

See you there!

Semi-Annual Alumni Dinner

It's that time of the semester again.  The Alumni Dinner will be held April 5th at 6pm in the Lilian Lodge Kopenhaven Alumni Engagement Center.  We are trying something new this semester by having the alumni dinner on campus as opposed to a local restaurant (Three reasons: costs, travel logistics, and trying to involve the campus with our operations).  The biggest logistical changes are that we cannot have late comers and we need to have payment in advance.

So, for everyone that always wants to pay by debit and credit card at the restaurant, now is your chance.    I need all attendees to RSVP with entree choice by Sunday, March 31st.  (Undergrads, please gather up everyone's choices and post once.  Thanks) No exceptions.  Please RSVP by commenting on this blog page with your name and dinner entree.

For those that cannot attend but would like to make a donation, there are 2 ways to donate.  The first is to mail a check to the chapter house at 411 Hamilton Ave Glassboro NJ 08028.  The other way is to donate directly to the chapter at this link

As always, we look forward to your attendance and appreciate your genorosity.

Cost:  $25 per plate (includes tax and tip)
This means we need to raise $500 for dinner to cover.

Menu:
Entrees - Chicken Marsala, Braised Beef Sicillian, Vegetarian Lasagna
All Served With: Greek Salad with Feta Cheese, Herb Crusted Broiled Tomatoes, Fontina Risoto Cake, Full Sheet Cake
