This week's brother interview is on former district 1 Archon, brother Adam Goodman '08!
Basic Stuff:
1. Your name, as you would prefer it to be stated?
My friends call me A Damn Good Man or D1, but you can call me Adam.
2. Your current location?
Harrisburg, PA
My fondest memories are of the ones where I would spend hours late at night sitting on the porch of 411 talking to brothers about the chapter, our experiences, and life in general. Those conversations are still the some of the best ones I’ve ever had.
9. Your most embarrassing moment as a Phi Psi?
I have two - one that happened during our ritual which I can’t really explain here and one during homecoming 2009. I’ll save you some trouble in telling the story just google Rowan homecoming 2009 and you will see why it's embarrassing.
10. Your proudest moment as a Phi Psi?
My proudest moment being a phi psi was initating the Spring class of 2010 as the GP of the chapter. Nothing gives you more pride than to initiate brothers.
11. Any unique memories from your time as a Phi Psi?
I am the second NJE Phi Psi to be elected as Archon and one of about 40 people since the 1800’s to be the district I Archon. It was definitely an unique experience and I’d be willing to share/answer any questions about my term. One thing I can say is that the national Fraternity may seem sometimes that they are stubborn and selfish, but you must remember they have to make the hard decisions for the good of all chapters not just one.
12. Any fraternal advice you would give to an undergraduate Phi Psi today?
Make your intentions known throughout the brotherhood, if you want to be leader let people know. If you want to party, let everyone know. Nothing is worse than disappointing your brothers because you set up expectations that you never intended to live up to.
13. When was the last time you visited Rowan or the chapter?
I think it was Alpha Alpha’s Initiation
14. What is favorite event the chapter holds?
Initiation
15. Whose the 1 brother you want to reconnect with / see interviewed here?
I would like to see Zach Braff get an interview.
16. Name 1 friend you made in NJE you still keep in touch with...
Rob Newby
Career Stuff:

2012
18. Degree(s) you graduated Rowan with?
Chemical Engineering
19. Any advanced degrees or certifications you have?
I have a Blood Borne Pathogen Safety Certificate, does that count?
20. Your current occupation?
I am an Application Engineer for the Maintenance Reliability & Operations Division at Philadelphia Mixing Solutions.
21. Number of years in that occupation?
About 1 & ½ years
22. Any career advice you would give to an undergraduate Phi Psi today?
Networking, Internships, and Grades is the tripod you need to succeed without one of them you will be off balance and be less attractive to employers
23. What's one piece of advice you'd give every undergraduate about networking?
Networking has a butterfly effect no matter who or when you are speaking to someone they will develop an impression of you and you will never know until it is to late how that will effect your career down the road

My tree has a tradition of giving our little’s “ball” nicknames. I think it started with Kyle Floyd and has continued since. For my nickname I believe there are five reasons that attribute to my nickname
- I like the color Orange (untrue, this is what Rob Newby believed to be true) and the five ball on the pool table is orange.
- Pumpkins are orange and I was pumpkin pi
- FKF (ask Rob Newby)
- A bad hookup experience, one of which I would not like to divulge on the interwebs. If you ask me in person I shall share.
- Rob Newby crowned me the ugly duckling of my pledge class who is the fifth of the ducklings in the ugly duckling story.
