5. Pledge Class Name?

6. Fraternity Nickname, if you remember it?
Princess Charming
7. Story behind how you got your nickname, if you remember it?
Well I lived with 2 brothers during my pledging and our Edgewood apartment wasn’t the cleanest… So one day I was yelling at one brother to clean because he never did and he called me a princess. Then my other two roommates called me a princess, then my pledge class, then my big…. But I was also gentleman to all the girls I met and according to my big fairly popular with them so that’s the charming part. Plus it’s much better than the other alternatives my big had for my nickname.
8. Your fondest memory of being a Phi Psi?
Well there’s two. One was the week before I was initiated we went Manahawkin to help clean up after Sandy hit. Two of my pledge brothers and I stayed up all night the night before working on our paddles then got like 1 hour of sleep before running on redbull all day. It was just such an amazing experience being able to help those people and see how grateful they were. It was also really cool to see that we were part of something more than the undergrads. Lots of alumni showed up to help and sorority girls. It just showed that no matter what we did the night before being dumb and irresponsible that we all were there for the same good purpose.
The second time was one day in my last semester. We all just hung out and played lawn games, grilled, drank, shared stories, listened to music, and it was just an amazing time. Brothers were in and out of the house all day stopping by and having fun when they could. They brought friends and sorority girls showed up. Nothing was planned, nothing got out of hand, everyone was just having fun in a relaxed safe atmosphere. It’s exactly why I joined this fraternity.
9. Your most embarrassing moment as a Phi Psi?
Hmmm… Probably my initiation? Was just blacked out for a long time and I kept telling people to say good night to me before I blacked out. Then I wondered around campus before somehow making it home. Unfortunately for others I never really did anything too embarrassing or dumb while in college. Though some of my speeches for positions were pretty bad..
10. Your proudest moment as a Phi Psi?
Probably my last semester when I was HI. It was a really awesome experience trying to guide the chapter and seeing how my time in the fraternity had come full circle. It helped me realize that for all the worrying others and I did that the chapter would be just fine.
11. Any unique memories from your time as a Phi Psi?
Well living in the house was a unique experience. I love the guys I lived with and we just had a blast. Also stress relieving activities involving any bottles we could find.
12. Any fraternal advice you would give to an undergraduate Phi Psi today?
Respect the guys that have been in longer than you because they do know what they are talking about but, also don’t be afraid to say something if you think it’s important. Also go to the house and hang out. That’s what its there for and the random nights people showed up to hang out were some of my favorite times of college.
13. When was the last time you visited Rowan or the chapter?
This summer when I stopped by to pick up some stuff I accidentally shipped there. Depending when this gets published however I’ll be down for September’s first Friday.
14. What is favorite event the chapter holds?
Well I really enjoyed the beer tasting we did this past spring. Greek week is my favorite thing we do during the school year. I’m not sure yet what I’ll think is the best event I go back for though.
15. Name 1 friend you made in NJE you still keep in touch with...
Plenty! Most of my pledge brothers, the guys I lived in the house with, lots of the undergrads.
Career Stuff:

Unemployed but I’m starting to hear back from companies about interviews! Though if an brother knows of anyone in need of an employee with a mechanical engineering degree please contact me.
20. Number of years in that occupation?
Umm since graduation.
21. Any career advice you would give to an undergraduate Phi Psi today?
Start applying to jobs during the winter of your senior year for the love of god. The earlier you find a job the more relaxing and less worrisome senior year is.
22. What's one piece of advice you'd give every undergraduate about networking?
Get to know the alumni! Go to every event you can with alumni because chances are they know someone that can get you in the door for an interview or something.
Relationships/Family/Personal Stuff:
23. Are you currently in a relationship? If so, with who and for how long?
Nope I’m single.
24. Do you have kids? If so, how old and their names?
I really hope not…

Brewing beer, karate, snowboarding, diving, reading, watching too much Netflix.
26. Anything you would like to share with other brothers through the blog regarding your relationship/family/personal life?
If anyone ever needs someone to talk to please contact me. I’ve had a lot of crappy things happen in my life and I know things can suck but, if you need someone to talk to and vent about it please give me a call or a text I’d love to help if I can.
