6. Fraternity Nickname, if you remember it?

7. Story behind how you got your nickname, if you remember it?
At the time I was going through a bought of low self esteem and did not think girls liked me. The movie Swingers was still pretty popular and Chaty gave me the, “You are so money speech and you don’t know it!” He got it made into my nick name so I would not forget it.
8. Your fondest memory of being a Phi Psi?
Although I have many fond memories with many individuals, my fondest memory of Phi Psi was the first time we applied for our charter and were turned down. That night I saw us argue, listen and cry because we thought we had failed when we tried so hard. I will never forget how we came together that night and said we would not give up and it was not over. That night more than any other showed me how much the fraternity meant to each and every one of us. When we were done we were more focused and determined than ever.
9. Your most embarrassing moment as a Phi Psi?
This is a hard one. I don’t get embarrassed all that much. I guess it would be when I gave Amanda the sweet heart pin. I had never done anything like that for a lady I care about before.
10. Your proudest moment as a Phi Psi?
I have many proud moments in Phi Psi, but the one that was the most proudest was during my step father’s funeral. He had past away a few months after my daughter was born after fighting and losing to cancer. I never asked, but my brothers showed up to the funeral and not only supported me and my family, but took it upon themselves to help us by doing little things like directing traffic in the parking lot and getting cars to parking spots along with walking people to there seats. When we were done with the ceremony and we had laid his body into the earth, my mother turned to me and told me that the group I had helped to create was a group of good men and she couldn’t be more proud of the decision I had made to help start our chapter.
11. Any unique memories from your time as a Phi Psi?
The day I came home and told my family that I was starting a fraternity, I found out that my brother Eric was a Phi Psi from Cornell University. I had always known he was in a fraternity but never knew much about it. I was blown away when he told me he was a Phi Psi. The next day I saw him he handed me my very first Phi Psi shirt. The colors on that shirt are the same colors of the shirt that is handed down in my family tree and I still have the shirt he gave me to this day. Also, I will never forget Chaty throwing a donut out of my car at 70 MPH on RT 55 and getting it in Armando’s car while he was trying to get the window rolled up.
12. Any fraternal advice you would give to an undergraduate Phi Psi today?
Never think it is too hard. If you stand together there is nothing you can’t do.
13. When was the last time you visited Rowan or the chapter?
Last year I attended initiation in the spring. I have also joined Chaty with a couple of educationals on the chapter’s history.
14. What is favorite event the chapter holds?
Initiation will always be my most favorite event. I every time I go it reminds me of when I went through it.
15. Who's the 1 brother you want to reconnect with / see interviewed here?
I would love to reconnect with Armando. It has been a long time my brother. I also miss seeing a lot of the people I was an undergrad with. I am looking forward to the next time we all get together.
16. Name 1 friend you made in NJE you still keep in touch with...
